GROOMING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Pricing: Upon pet drop-off, our staff will endeavor to provide an estimate for the anticipated cost of your pet’s grooming service. The behaviour and coat condition of your pet, including matting, may not be readily discernible until the grooming process commences. Our charges are time-based; therefore, if the grooming session exceeds the anticipated duration, you will be billed accordingly. Please note that fees may vary for each visit based on your pet’s behavior and condition at the time of the appointment, as animal behaviour can fluctuate. Grooming rates are established for pets undergoing regular grooming sessions within intervals of 4 to 8 weeks. Grooming sessions required beyond an 8-week interval may incur additional charges, as determined by your groomer during the visit.

Matting Fees: Should your pet exhibit matting, supplementary charges will apply in addition to the standard grooming fee. This additional fee accounts for the heightened time and expertise necessary to address a matted coat. Matting may not be visibly apparent until the grooming process has commenced, as knots and mats can be densely packed near the skin. Our staff will endeavor to communicate with owners during the grooming session to discuss options for addressing matting. If contact cannot be established during the service, we will attempt to brush out the matting, charged at a rate of $30 for every 15 minutes of brushing. In cases where brushing is not feasible or safe for the pet, a shaving process may be necessary, incurring a matting fee. This fee compensates for the additional time required beyond our standard grooming session to ensure the safety of your pet. Please be advised that grooming excessively matted pets may pose a risk of minor injury, as the coat may exert tension on the skin. While we take all precautions to ensure the safety and comfort of your pet, owners assume responsibility for any veterinary care required post-groom due to the pet’s condition upon presentation.

Double Coats/Brush Out Fees: Our pricing structure for double-coated small/medium pets includes a base grooming session of 1 hour. Any grooming session exceeding this allocated time will result in an additional fee of $30 for every 15-minute increment spent grooming your pet. For large and extra-large double-coated pets, the base grooming session extends to 1.5 hours. Sessions exceeding this allocated time will incur a charge of $30 for every additional 15 minutes of grooming. Brush out fees may exceed the initially quoted amount due to the inability to precisely determine the duration of the grooming session upon initial assessment. To navigate this, clients are encouraged to provide a budget or cap. For instance, we will conduct brush out services for a maximum additional hour. If excess coat remains, clients will be provided guidance on home removal or advised to revisit in subsequent weeks.

Cancellations: Appointments cancelled within a 24-hour notice period or no-shows will be subject to a 50% service fee. Credit card details will be securely stored, and the cancellation fee will be automatically charged if applicable.

Collection: While we strive to complete grooming sessions promptly, we cannot guarantee exact finishing times. Upon completion, our staff will contact the designated phone number, and we request pet collection within 1 hour of receipt of our message. Failure to collect your pet within this timeframe will result in their placement in our staffed daycare area, incurring additional fees.

While our staff take every precaution during the grooming process, minor injuries such as broken nails, small clipper cuts, and abrasions may occur, particularly with high-risk or matted pets. In the event your pet requires veterinary attention, we will transport them to the Caroline Springs Veterinary Clinic for treatment, with all associated costs borne by the owner.

Price Confirmation: While we endeavour to provide a price guide our services, please note that the final price may vary based on factors such as your pet’s behaviour, coat condition, and any additional services required during the grooming process. The price provided at drop-off is an estimate and is subject to adjustment based on the actual services rendered. By engaging our grooming services, you acknowledge and agree that the final price will be confirmed upon collection of your pet. Any disputes regarding the final price must be addressed promptly upon collection, and refusal of payment may result in legal action to recover the outstanding amount.
